As part of the Around the world challenge, funding was allocated to develop a series of orienteering courses. Parks around the borough of St Helens were chosen and mapped by the XPLORER group.
Damian gave us an overview and presentation around the ethos of orienteering. We were informed on how we can plan a route and how we can edit, create and download the course/map. He also explained the resources required to create the course.
After the presentation we visited Victoria Park and walked around, planning a potential first course. We have exciting plans that are being put into place and we are looking to have our first Halloween themed orienteering course taking place on Friday 30th October.
